Senior Web Strategist & Account Lead

As a Senior Web Strategist & Account Lead at Interactive Strategies, you’ll shape the digital direction for mission-driven organizations that are making a true impact in the world. You’ll join a team partnering with some of the largest and most influential nonprofits and associations in the country – organizations advancing health, serving veterans, protecting wildlife, and preserving our planet. And as we look ahead to our newest projects, we’re pushing the sector forward with a strong vision for how AI can drive meaningful innovation and transform websites, digital platforms, and marketing. This is a role where your thinking won’t just shape individual projects; it will influence how the industry leverages new opportunities and technology. Day to day, you’ll take complex challenges and turn them into clear, actionable strategies. You’ll guide clients toward research-driven decisions and serve as a trusted digital advisor to senior stakeholders – all while leading multidisciplinary teams from discovery through delivery.   • Serve as a trusted digital advisor to senior stakeholders, balancing big picture vision with practical, results-driven recommendations.
  • Guide clients toward confident decision-making, especially when the path forward is unclear or complex.
  • Act as both a visual and verbal storyteller – communicating insights with clarity, empathy, and strategic depth.
  • Contribute to new business efforts by shaping pitch narratives, proposals, and strategic frameworks, and by providing subject-matter expertise in presentations.

Digital Strategy & Experience Innovation

  • Translate research – both your own and research provided by cross disciplinary teams – into clear, actionable strategic deliverables, including digital strategy recommendations, roadmaps, personas, user journeys, value propositions, information architecture, and user experience direction.
  • Lead discovery activities such as stakeholder interviews, audience research, competitive analysis, and opportunity assessments.
  • Define strategies for websites, digital products, and experiences that align customer needs with business goals and technology capabilities.
  • Develop high-impact presentations and strategic deliverables that inspire clients and equip cross-functional teams with clear direction.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with designers, creatives, technologists, content strategists, and analysts to shape cohesive, integrated digital strategies.
  • Lead teams through ambiguity by establishing direction, clarifying decisions, and maintaining momentum even when details continue to evolve.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends – especially in AI, digital transformation, and experience strategy while bringing forward insights that elevate our work.

Requirements Experience & Expertise

  • 7–10+ years of experience in digital strategy, innovation,... consulting,... product/service strategy,... or related field; digital agency experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of websites,... UX design,... IA (information architecture),... product strategy.
  • Experience leveraging AI... emerging tools... support digital growth... impact.
  • Outstanding strategic thinking... strong analytical... problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional storytelling,... presentation,... communication abilities (visual + verbal).
  • Ability to synthesize deep research into actionable insights... strategic direction.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous,... fast-paced environments.
